Jenny brought her kids to the farm with us to check out the baby animals. Miss V was a little nervous, and didn't want to hold the animals, but she liked looking at them and riding the train. She said later her favorite animals are pigs. That could possibly stem from recently watching "Charlotte's Web" and "Peppa Pig," I suppose. I liked the tiny turtles, too. Mr C slept in the Boba, wrapped up comfortably against me the whole time. In the 1800s cabin the volunteers made delicious ginger snaps to share.

The rain briefly fell. I was semi-prepared with plenty of coats and layers, but next year I will bring them with me so I don't have to walk to the car and back to retrieve them while my kids get wet. Last year the line for the baby bears was hours long, so we didn't even try, but this year we moved to the front within minutes. They were sleeping, but one of the cubs tried to itch his face and belly.
